5-Second Rush
Name 3 things before the time runs out. Quick, loud and silly.
How many players?
Names (optional) Add names so turns are called by name
First names or nicknames, saved only on this phone. Pick a kid’s age so the youngest goes first and quiz cards fit each kid; tick “Adult” for grown-ups: they get harder words to act out and no kids-only topics.
How old is the youngest player?
Cards follow the youngest player.
5-second game for kids: how to play with 2, 3 or 4+
On your turn, tap Start and the phone shows a prompt like “Name 3 yellow fruits”. Say three answers before the countdown ends. Kids aged 8 and under get 8 seconds instead of 5. Then the family decides together: made it or not quite.
2 players
Take turns: one rushes, the other judges, then swap. Each player gets 3 prompts. Be kind with the judging: a funny answer that fits still counts.
3 players
Pass the phone around, youngest first. The two who aren't rushing judge together, so nobody argues alone. Six prompts take about three minutes.
4 or more players
With 4 or more, everyone rushes twice and the whole family judges with a thumbs up or down. The phone counts the rushes that made it, there are no winners or losers.

Questions parents ask
What age is it for?
Ages 6 and up, grown-ups included. Prompts follow the youngest player's age: easy ones like animals that can fly for 6–8, trickier ones for older kids. Little ones get 8 seconds instead of 5.
Who decides if an answer counts?
The whole family, together, right after the time is up. Three answers that fit the prompt count, even silly ones. If you can't agree, let the player who rushed explain in one sentence.
How long does a game take?
Each rush takes about 20 seconds, so a game of 6 to 10 prompts takes 3 to 5 minutes. In Family Game Night it is a fast warm-up or closer.
What do we need, and is it free?
Just one phone. It's free, with no sign-up and no ads, and first names stay only on that phone.
